4 Seasons
Dylan P. Williams
Spring:
Days become longer,
The weather gets warmer,
Plants grow and flowers bloom,
My spirit starts to open up,
As I gasp for air,
As the sun sends rays to my skin,
This season shows the meaning to start
anew.
Summer:
The days are longest
The nights are shortest,
With the day’s length comes decreasing
As the season progress,
As the sun sends rays to my skin,
My heart feels at ease,
This season makes my emotions start
to blossom
Autumn:
The weather becomes cooler,
The plants become dormant,
A time of full maturity,
I start to balance myself from what
I’ve learned throughout time,
I clear my mind to the wise.
This season prepares me for what’s to come.
Winter:
The skies begin to turn gray,
As you hear the crackles of the trees,
The snow falls upon me,
I start to have a different mindset,
I keep my past frozen in time.
As this season creates a whole
different person inside me.
Sunset Blvd.
Dylan P. Williams
Living by the strand of a broken life that I can never forget,
The paper that runs with my blood when I spread it across the paper.
I empty my emotion like a cascading of paint,
A moonlight color that captures all of my hate.
A night on Sunset Blvd.
I walk with my eyes open,
But I feel like I’m blind.
I masquerade through the day,
As the light that covers me fades away.
A demonstration to let you roam on a path,
A night on Sunset Blvd.
Given the many echo steps I’ve taken,
As the water under my shoes,
From puddles when the clouds cried.
The night begins to grow,
And as it takes form,
I fade away into it like a shadow.
A night on Sunset Blvd.
